Our Opening Sequence, Script

In Your Dreams...

Dreamway Script:

Int. School corridor, a cold morning

LS- Barry is walking through the school corridors, all the girls are watching him go past. He feels like a ladies-man.

Looking good. Until, he trips up in front of everyone forcing him to be drawn back to reality. His alarm starts to ring.

Int. Barry’s House, a cold morning
(Alarm sounds)

CU- Barry yawns, his eyes slowly opening, as he still feels tired. He turns off the alarm, then stretches and gets ready.

Barry gets out of bed.

Shooting script:
CU- Barry’s slippers as he puts his feet into them.
LAP (low angle pan) - Barry getting up.

Barry

(Looking in the mirror. As he does not like what he sees.)


JC- from Adnan freshens up, e.g. washing his face etc. to looking at himself in the mirror.

Barry
(As he looks back at the mirror)
Looking good, check, smelling good, check.

Ext. outside his house, very cold morning

ES Barry's house when he leaves.

CU Barry walking to school.

ES Paddington Academy

LA-CU Barry going up the stairs to enter the school. As he enters the school he meets up with Ziad.


Shooting script: Two shot: Barry and Ziad are walking together in the hallway, as they are about to enter the common room.

Ziad leaves Barry, shortly getting approached by Adam.

Int. waiting outside common school common room, a cold morning.

VCU: Barry is quite scared and it’s visible from his facial expressions. Adam gives him a dirty look.

CU Adam pressuring Barry to pay him.

Adam
Oi, Barry what you got for me

Barry
Nothing

Adam

I just remembered you owe me tax for walking past me

Barry

No allow me I only have 5 pounds which I want to buy lunch with

LS - Adam kicking and punching Barry.

Adam

I don’t really care you walk past me. You pay me...

LS Becky sees this and ends the relationship between her and Ali.

TS – Barry & Becky looking at each other and smiling.
